We had a fascinating two days at the Berlin Tech Open Air conference Aug 1 and 2, 2013. Actually it wasn’t really a conference, it was a typical Berlin mix of cool location, experimental new session formats, meeting international tech and startup people and even having a floating venue on the Spree river taking tours up and down the Berlin startup mile. German Newspaper Bild has a good article on the conference.
The second day had another interesting format. In 50 satellite events all across Berlin companies and coworking locations opened their offices for lectures from technology to design thinking. Lots of cool stuff. Yes, there was a lot of hot air, many not so interesting „cool“ people, but quite often we were surprised with contacts we didn’t expect. And the conference format opens your mind for a completely new way of thinking. Think about dropping by there next year, it may be worthwhile.
